   Class Descriptions


YOGA CLASSES

Beginning Yoga

For newcomers, students of all ages, and those who prefer a gentle and mild yoga practice. Yoga will help increase your strength and flexibility as well as enhance balance and clarity of mind. Note: Please eat very light before class and bring a wool blanket to class.

Intermediate Yoga

This class is for participants who have at least six months of Yoga experience. Students must be able to balance in 'sarvangasna' (shoulder stand) and must be working on 'sirasasana (head stand). Please talk to the instructor for more information.

CONDITIONING CLASSES

Absolute Abs

Core strength is a vital component of a well rounded program. Using core strength moves, you will build the foundation you need to challenge yourself at your desired level.

Step Aerobics

This uncomplicated, athletic, and intense step workout will give you the results you are looking for. The use of specialized toning techniques will give you improved cardiovascular and muscular strengths and one of the best workouts ever. All levels welcome.

Spinning

Bring your outdoor cycling indoors! Geared to both the veteran and novice exerciser, experience athletic and authentic cycling drills all done to music in a group setting.

Circuit Training

Do you feel intimidated by the weight room? This class will teach you how to use the equipment properly, as well as help build an individualized program. Orientation is necessary, so please call 686-9355 ext. 454 for an appointment.

Boot Camp

Pace yourself or push yourself to the limit! Alternating intervals of cardio and muscle conditioning drills that will firm you up and slim you down. One of the most fun ways to get fit boot camp style! All levels welcome.

Jump & Pump

Jump into our NEW fitness class. Get a whole body workout in just 30 minutes. The class consists of 2 minutes of jump roping and 1 minute of light weight lifting intervals.

Salsa

This wild and sexy dance is infectious in rhythm and style and leaves plenty of room for freedom of expression. Not only is a Salsa session good fun, but you can also burn over 350 calories during one class. Partners and singles welcome.

SuperCircuit

The ultimate circuit work-out. Intervals of strength and cardio training put to music and a group setting. Experience a new creative way to become fit.

Chair Exercise

This lower intensity class is conducted while seated in a chair. Exercises are designed to work all body parts from your fingers to your toes.

Ski Conditioning

Get ready for the slopes! This class will help you get the strength and aerobic base to safely enjoy days of skiing and snow boarding.

DANCE CLASSES

Preschool

This class is a combination of jazz and theatre for ages 3-6. Classes are full of energy and imagination as we explore music, rhythm and movement. The kids will learn the basics of jazz and theatre, as well as complete routines, while developing coordination, dance skills and creativity through game playing and structured dance.

Intermediate

This class is a combination jazz class and theatre for ages 7-10. In each of these categories students will learn technique, terminology and steps which will become more difficult. Upon instructor's approval, students are eligible to promote to the advanced level.

Advanced

This class covers jazz and hip-hop for ages 11 and up. At this level we will touch on various styles of dance. Choreographing is at an increased pace and numerous variations of steps will be learned.

ADULT SPORTS

Open Gym Basketball

All players must check-in at the front desk and all non-members must sign a waiver and pay a $2 fee. Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.

--Some classes are not currently scheduled. Check back in January for an updated class schedule.
